"When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit." - Unknown
The first time I heard of this poem was when I was in Primary 3.
It's been in my head ever since.
So perfect strung into sentences,
with the simple and direct message behind it.
So recently many things have been happening to the people around me,
many I must say are very brave,
to make decisions that hurt, to make decisions that are right.
I always tell people to look at things from a third person's point of view,
because only then would you have the right mind to think about what to do.
As a third person, I don't always tell them what they want to hear,
and it's not because I want to go against them,
but that's just what people see.
And that is often what YOU should be seeing too.
It's just that attachment and feelings of the heart twist your thinking,
making everything harder.
Yes no?
I'm sure you all have that one friend that you want to tell, how pathetic their life it.
It is the same.
So anyway, first ZD training of the year!
I hope I learn faster this year,
and won't really be the blur one around anymore.
hahha!
Okay, need to get started on my article soon!
I'm so bad at it, I really hope I pass. :/
